Liquorous Wines
Sweet wines are sweet wines produced from overripe grapes. They can be produced in many wine regions around the world, notably in France (Sauternes), Hungary (Tokaji) and even in South Africa. Production methods generally include drying the grapes before fermentation or stopping fermentation to achieve a sugar content above 50g/L. Sweet wines are often enjoyed with strong cheeses, dried fruits and desserts, as well as as digestives.
