Nebbiolo grape wines
Nebbiolo is the grape variety that produces the best red wines of Piedmont, in northwestern Italy, the most famous of which are Barolo and Barbaresco. Nebbiolo-based wines are distinguished by their high level of tannins, high acidity, high alcohol content and characteristic aromas of red fruits, tar and roses. This grape variety makes it possible to make wines with very long aging potential and are mainly aged in barrels to attenuate the power of the wine in its youth.
