With this refined vintage, we recommend a beef carpaccio with basil, a platter of Italian charcuterie, a roast veal with Provençal herbs and a duck breast with cranberries.

Let's talk little, let's talk wine

The grapes for this cuvée come from century-old vineyards (planted in 1915) located in the Itata Valley, particularly on the granite slopes of Guariligüe, Chile. These less fertile terroirs, shaped by ocean breezes, capture the natural freshness of the place. The temperate climate combined with the topography makes this area ideal for Cinsault , giving it an elegant and taut expression, while respecting the spirit of purity and terroir dear to the Fuerza Natural project.

The winemaking process follows a minimalist philosophy : the harvest is manual and early, with freshness preserved from the moment of harvest. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out using semi-carbonic maceration in stainless steel vats, without additives, promoting a natural and authentic development of the juice. Aging, strictly in clay amphorae, lasts approximately 8 months. This artisanal process, without wood or mechanical intervention, highlights the finesse and character of the grape variety, while reflecting the deep identity of the terroir.

This wine reveals notes of tangy raspberry , red cherry , redcurrant, white pepper , rose petals and wild herbs . The palate is lively, tonic, with fine tannins and driven by a fine, saline minerality. The texture, both light and enveloping, opens with an elegant, mineral finish.

Where are we traveling?

Itata Valley

The Itata Valley, located in southern Chile, is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the country and a true cradle of Chilean viticulture. As early as the 16th century, Spanish settlers planted the first grape varieties there, including País and Moscatel de Alejandría, which are still cultivated today. Long focused on traditional, family-based production, the region has experienced a new boom in recent years thanks to the promotion of its old vines, often over 100 years old and grown without irrigation. The Itata terroir is distinguished by its granite and clay-sand soils, which are not very fertile, which promote a high aromatic concentration in the grapes. The Mediterranean climate, marked by the oceanic influence and fresh breezes from the Pacific, brings a slow and regular ripening, ideal for preserving the natural freshness of the wines. Today, the Itata Valley stands out as a key wine region in Chile, where history and modernity come together to give birth to wines that combine ancestral tradition and contemporary expression of the terroir.

The little history of the country

Chile

product descriptions logo

It was Hernán Cortés who ordered, upon the conquest of Mexico, the cultivation of vines in 1524. It gradually extended from Mexico southwards to reach Chile in 1555. During the first 3 centuries of colonization, there was no Cultivated in Chile as país, a black grape variety without character and very productive. It was not until the middle of the 19th century that noble varieties were introduced: mainly cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. Twenty years later, winemaking was modernized under the leadership of wealthy owners and French experts who were forced into unemployment by phylloxera in Europe. Chile stretches 4,300 kilometers from north to south. It is wedged between the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Andes Mountains to the east, the Atacama Desert to the north, the Patagonian plains and glaciers to the south. These natural barriers prevented phylloxera from entering the country. Although the country is only 160 kilometers wide, it has ideal conditions for growing warm, intermediate and cool grape varieties, so much so that it is often described as a paradise for growing grapes. With nearly 300 properties producing bottled wines, Chile fluctuates between 6th and 8th place in the world.
