How we choose our wines
Romain, co-founder of Le Baroudeur du Vin, puts the boxes together, and he tastes every wine selected himself. A cuvée joins our cellar when it wins us over in the glass and delivers on its price.
The bottles come from artisan winemakers who work with respect for the vine and their terroir, from Piedmont to the Napa Valley, from Stellenbosch to Mendoza. Each range is designed as a stop on a journey: a country, its regions, its grape varieties, and the estates that express them best.

Le Baroudeur du VinOnline wine merchant for wines from around the world, boxes and gift boxes
Specialists in wines from around the world, Le Baroudeur du Vin brings together cuvées from artisan winemakers in some twenty countries, to receive every month in a box or to order by the bottle.
Our cellar covers the great vineyards of Europe, from Burgundy to Piedmont and Tuscany, from Spain to Portugal, as well as those of the New World: Chenin and Syrah from South Africa, Malbec from Mendoza, Carménère from Chile, Cabernet from the Napa Valley, Pinot Noir from Oregon and New Zealand. Each range presents its regions, grape varieties and estates.
The boxes go out every month with one or two bottles from two different countries and a tasting sheet for each wine, for a duration of one to six months. To give as a present, they come in a gift version, alongside our gift boxes.
In Lyon, our cellar also welcomes wine lovers for tastings. Online or at the counter, the price shown is always the price of one bottle, even when a wine is sold by the lot.
Your questions
Another question? Write to us at contact@lebaroudeurduvin.com.
How does the wine subscription work?
You choose a box (range, colour, number of bottles) and a duration of one to six months. The plan is paid in one go when you order, then you receive one box a month for the whole duration you chose. The three ranges are presented on the wine subscription page.
Can I buy the wines by the bottle?
Yes, the whole shop is available by the bottle or by the lot, sorted by country, colour and budget. Some wines are sold in lots of two or three, or by the case of six: the price shown is always the price of one bottle.
How much is shipping ?
The boxes are delivered free of charge to a pick-up point, or to your home for €4.90 extra per month. For bottle orders, rates depend on the number of bottles and the delivery method: everything is detailed on the delivery page.
How are the wines chosen?
Romain, co-founder of the shop, puts the boxes together, and he tastes every wine selected himself. The selection is made from cuvées by artisan winemakers, with as much attention paid to quality as to price.
Can I give wine as a gift?
Yes: the boxes are available as a gift, from one to six months, on the give a wine box page. For a one-off present, our gift boxes bring together bottles around a country or a theme.
Do I need a promo code?
Current discounts are already applied to the prices shown, in the shop and on the boxes alike: just add the bottle to your basket.
