Lourens Family

Lourens Family was founded by Franco Lourens , a former collaborator of renowned winemaker Chris Alheit, from whom he learned a minimalist and respectful approach to the grape. Drawing on this experience, Franco established his own estate in the Western Cape, focusing on small, old plots , often planted on granitic and sandy soils, which promote concentration, purity, and expression of the terroir. His philosophy is based on sustainable and respectful viticulture , with minimal intervention in the cellar to allow the grapes to reveal their natural character and freshness.
