80% of the grapes come from 30-year-old vines and 20% from older vines, between 60 and 100 years old. The harvest is done by hand in the slopes of the Douro Valley. The grapes ferment in stainless steel vats, completely destemmed. Then, 70% will age for 8 months in stainless steel vats and 30% in used French oak barrels (3rd and 4th use). This wine reveals notes of black cherry , plum , blackberry , violet , black pepper , clove , cocoa and aromatic herbs . The palate is well structured, with round and silky tannins, balancing acidity, bringing freshness and a long and persistent finish.

The reluctance to follow trends and plant international grape varieties is now paying off and the new breed of wines full of "terroir effect" and fruit are more than capable of competing on the world stage.
