Located in the Yarra Valley, northeast of Melbourne in the state of Victoria, the Yarra Yering vineyard is planted on well-drained slopes with predominantly gravelly and loamy soils, with clay outcrops. This cool area, among the most renowned in Australia for Burgundy grape varieties, benefits from a climate tempered by altitude and oceanic influence. The plots are planted at high density and cultivated with meticulous attention to manual labor, in order to preserve the precise expression of the terroir and the natural elegance of the wines produced.

The Pinot Noir grapes are hand-harvested and then sorted before fermentation in small, open vats, with the proportion of whole clusters varying depending on the vintage. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts, with gentle pump-overs or punch-downs to delicately extract color and tannins. After pressing, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels, including a portion of new oak, for extended aging aimed at preserving the aromatic finesse, silky texture, and expression of the cool Yarra Valley terroir.

This wine reveals notes of crisp red fruits , cherry and raspberry , enhanced by floral touches reminiscent of violet, as well as subtle spicy nuances of pepper and nutmeg. Delicate oak accents, evoking cedar and a light toastiness, blend harmoniously into the bouquet. On the palate, the texture is supple and elegant, supported by fresh acidity , fine and well-integrated tannins , and a persistent finish that highlights the purity of the fruit and the overall balance of the wine.

Located approximately 50 kilometers east of Melbourne in the state of Victoria, the Yarra Valley is one of Australia's oldest wine regions, with the first plantings dating back to 1838. The valley stretches along the Yarra River, bordered by the Dandenong Ranges to the south and the Great Dividing Range to the north, creating a protected natural amphitheater. The climate is temperate oceanic, significantly cooler than most Australian wine regions, with maritime influences from Port Phillip Bay, some 30 kilometers away. Variations in altitude, between 50 and 400 meters, combined with diverse exposures and soils ranging from fertile volcanic clays to well-drained gravelly silts, generate a multitude of microclimates that support the cultivation of a wide range of grape varieties. This cool climate and diversity of terroirs make Yarra Valley a particularly prized region for its elegant and complex wines, including its refined Pinot Noir, expressive Chardonnay and high-quality sparkling wines.
