Old Vines 2021

This vintage comes from carefully selected old vines in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, some of which are over 100 years old. These vines, located in sub-regions such as Marananga, Gomersal, and Ebenezer, benefit from deep red soils and ideal conditions for rich, complex wines. Their deep roots in the valley's ancient soils contribute to the richness of the blend. The Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre triptych was chosen as a nod to the wines of the southern Rhône Valley. The wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, giving it a beautiful integration of flavors. This wine reveals notes of black cherry, cassis, configured red fruits , plum, dried flowers, rosemary, leather , and spices. The palate is textured and silky, with soft, melted tannins. The finish is persistent and spicy.

The country is one of the largest wine producers in the world, and was the 4th largest exporter in the world in 2011.
