Its terroir occupies one of the finest gravel mounds in the appellation. The 52-hectare vineyard, including 2 hectares of white, has a great diversity of soils, between gravelly mounds and clay-limestone soils, worked plot by plot on a micro scale to express every nuance of the terroir.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe harvest is carried out plot by plot, “made to measure”, with optical sorting. Winemaking, with very little handling, includes malolactic fermentation carried out partly in barriques. The wine is then aged on fine lees in oak barrels, 33% of them new. The 2018 vintage blends 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003eblackberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblack cherry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblackcurrant\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblueberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003esmoke\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003egraphite\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ecedar\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003evanilla\u003c\/strong\u003e. The intense, complex nose of black fruit is accompanied by very subtle oaky notes.
