la-rural-san-felipe-tinto-argentine
La Rural - San Felipe Tinto - 2025

San Felipe Tinto is made by La Rural, a historic house in the province of Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes. The irrigated vines enjoy a dry, very sunny continental climate, marked by wide temperature swings between day and night that preserve the freshness of the fruit. This emblematic cuvée of the San Felipe range, known for its traditional bottle, blends three great red grape varieties of Mendoza in an approachable, convivial style.

The grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for twelve months in American oak barrels before being blended with the Malbec and Merlot in large 100-hectolitre wooden vats. This measured ageing adds roundness without masking the fruit, for a supple wine designed to be enjoyed in its youth.

This wine reveals notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, black cherry, liquorice, cocoa, vanilla and black pepper.
