Located in Rioja Oriental, near the border with Navarre, this hillside of old Grenache vines rests on red clay and iron soils over limestone, particularly rich in minerals. The altitude and the Moncayo winds bring the freshness needed for slow ripening under a Mediterranean climate.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted. Fermentation is spontaneous, with the grapes' natural yeasts, and proceeds slowly in wooden vessels, with a large share of the bunches vinified whole. Ageing lasts 12 months, partly in barriques and large wooden vats (foudres), partly in concrete tanks. The wine is bottled unfiltered. The 2023 vintage is the first release of this cuvée.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003eblueberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ered forest fruits\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblackberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eclove\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003esweet spices\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003egarrigue\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eviolet\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eearth\u003c\/strong\u003e. The powerful, Mediterranean fruit is enriched by spices and floral nuances.
