The Chardonnay vines, planted by her father on cooler slopes, rise to around 500 metres, among the highest in the Barolo appellation, next to a wood renowned for its white truffles. The clay-limestone soils and the night-time coolness of this terrain preserve the acidity and mineral tension of the grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWinemaking draws on Giulia Negri's experience in Burgundy. After pressing, the wine is aged for sixteen months in 350-litre casks, on its fine lees, which gives it roundness, texture and a creamy touch without masking the freshness of the high-altitude terroir. The oak remains discreet and perfectly integrated. Citrus provides the drive, exotic and floral touches broaden the bouquet, while subtle oak adds a toasty note.
