Good morning,

My name is Romain and I am a wine fanatic or rather passionate about everything that revolves around this ancestral beverage that has spanned human history. What I like is discovering what could be hidden behind each bottle by trying to understand the terroir, the grape variety, the winemaker and its history. I also like to share this knowledge around good little bottles because for me wine is more than just a consumer product, it is a moment of sharing and conviviality.

The “Le Baroudeur du Vin” project was born to introduce people to the wines of the world which are, in my opinion, relatively unknown to the general public. However, the French wine landscape is very rich, the idea is not to dismiss it but to move away from its natural preferences, which are sometimes a little chauvinistic, and to discover new terroirs around the globe. Today, there is a great wealth of countries cultivating vines and producing high quality wines. Each country has unique vineyards of their kind, a particular expression of grape varieties and winegrowers who apply viticulture and viniculture adapted to their environment, in order to offer us expressive and authentic vintages of their terroir. All this to tell you that today, discovering what is drunk abroad brings knowledge and an additional dimension to wine.

In this logic, I strive to only offer bottles that meet all these criteria, far from the image and quality of world wines offered today in the mass distribution circuit. This is why I will always favor a demanding and careful selection rather than a selection that is too vast where you get lost. Quality before quantity.

Enjoy your tasting and have a good trip.

Vinically yours,

Roman
