The vineyard lies in Villena, some sixty kilometres from Alicante, in the Alicante appellation. The vines, more than 80 years old and bush-trained, take root between 400 and 600 metres above sea level in poor limestone soils, often sandy or stony. The dry, bright climate naturally limits yields and concentrates the fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes, from organically farmed vines, are fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then aged for several months in these same tanks, without oak, to preserve the brightness of the fruit, the natural freshness and the direct expression of the limestone terroir.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003eblackberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003echerry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eplum\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003epepper\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eliquorice\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eviolet\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003elimestone\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ebalsamic notes\u003c\/strong\u003e. The deep garnet colour heralds a generous wine. On the palate, the attack is supple, the substance dense and fresh, supported by fine tannins.
