This unique plot, planted on clay-limestone soils mixed with gravel, benefits from a continental climate tempered by Atlantic influence. Nestled on well-exposed hillsides, it enjoys significant temperature differences between day and night, promoting slow and complete ripening of the grapes, while preserving freshness, aromatic finesse, and natural balance.

The grapes from La Poza de Ballesteros are harvested manually from a single plot, with rigorous sorting in the vineyard and in the winery. Fermentation takes place in open vats with gentle pump-overs and punch-downs to delicately extract color and tannins. Maceration is prolonged to refine the structure. The wine is then aged extensively in oak barrels, where it gains aromatic complexity and depth, while preserving the purity of the fruit and the mineral expression of the terroir.

This wine reveals notes of ripe black fruits, juicy red fruits, and violet, enhanced by hints of sweet spices, licorice, and pepper, as well as woody nuances of cedar and vanilla.
