Torbreck Estate

David Powell was destined for a career as an accountant when an uncle introduced him to the world of vines and wine. He found work in the Barossa Valley while traveling in Europe and the United States, where he participated in several harvests. Fascinated by Rhône wines, he became convinced of the region's potential at a time when the region's old vines were still being uprooted. This intuition was quickly rewarded in 1994, when he founded the Torbreck estate.
