The Skurfberg from the Sadie Family estate is a purely South African Chenin Blanc, coming from the arid lands of the north, in the heart of the Citrusdale Mountains. Sourced from century-old vines approximately 90 years old, these vines have absorbed essential nutrients from decomposed Skufberg sandstone soils, carefully cultivated without the use of herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Vinification is carried out plot by plot, with fermentation in old barrels. After aging for twelve months on lees, the wines are blended and then returned to age for six more months in barrels before being bottled. This wine proves to be a perfect balance between body and liveliness, dynamism and richness of flavors, presenting itself as an exquisite choice to accompany fine dishes such as fish or poultry in cream sauce. It is recommended to consume it within a decade of its year of production.
