MMAD

Launched in 2021, the MMAD brand is the brainchild of four renowned professionals (Martin Shaw, Michael Hill-Smith MW, Adam Wadewitz, David Le Mire MW), who founded the Shaw & Smith and Tolpuddle estates. They chose McLaren Vale, more precisely the Blewitt Springs area, to plant ancient vines on sandy, iron-rich soils at an altitude of 250 m, benefiting from sea breezes. The range features wines made from old Grenache, Syrah , and Chenin Blanc, the oldest of which date back to 1941 and 1964. From their first vintage, these wines have been distinguished by their great fullness and impressive aromatic power. The quality of these wines has impressed experts. The brand emphasizes limited but high-quality production.
