Chambers Rosewood

Founded in 1858 in Rutherglen , in the heart of the state of Victoria in Australia, the Chambers Rosewood estate is one of the oldest vineyards still in operation. Remaining in the hands of the same family for six generations, it has survived all the major upheavals in the local wine history: from English emigration to the gold rush , including the phylloxera crisis, the uprooting campaigns, then the renaissance with replanting and the appearance of the first fortified wines from the 1890s. These muscats and muscadelles aged in an oxidative environment have today become the signature of the estate.

In the late 1990s, Bill Chambers actively contributed to the international recognition of Rutherglen Muscats . Thanks to rave reviews from figures such as Jancis Robinson, Robert Parker, and James Halliday, Chambers Rosewood wines quickly became recognized as global standards in the fortified sweet wine category. These rich, intense, and beautifully balanced wines impress with their depth and aromatic complexity.

Today, Stephen Chambers , representing the sixth generation, manages the estate's 50 hectares of vines. Production covers a wide range of wines, but it is the oxidative Muscats and Muscadelles that forge the estate's reputation: powerful, velvety, with aromas of candied fruit, spices, caramel and nuts, these exceptional wines illustrate the full potential of the Rutherglen terroir and the excellence of a know-how passed down for more than 160 years.
