Six small plots, or sortes, planted by local growers in the late 1970s and early 1980s, are terraced on the north-facing side of the valley, at more than 680 metres. The forty-year-old Godello vines draw on pure, low-fertility granitic sands.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe viticulture follows tradition, with ecological treatments and biodynamic practices. The grapes are harvested by hand, then the must ferments with native yeasts in 500-litre casks. The wine is then aged for eight months on the lees in these same vessels before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003echestnut blossom\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ebroom\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003emountain herbs\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003elemon\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ecandied citrus\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eyellow peach\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003epistachio\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003ewarm stone\u003c\/strong\u003e. The lively, crystalline palate is carried by chiselled acidity and a saline minerality that give it great energy.
