This isolated volcanic butte, often described as the smallest wine region in Europe, rests on basalts and volcanic tuffs. The continental climate, with Pannonian influences, and the volcanic soils produce taut, saline whites with great longevity.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are harvested by hand, then fermented with native yeasts, partly in stainless-steel tanks and partly in Hungarian oak barrels. The wine is aged for 5 months in the same vessels, then bottled unfiltered, to retain all the tension and mineral character of the Somló terroir.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003equince\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003egreen apple\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003epear\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003elinden blossom\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003elemon\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ebeeswax\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ealmond\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eflint\u003c\/strong\u003e. The precise fruit is accompanied by floral and saline notes.
