jasci-cerasuolo-dabruzzo-italie
Jasci - Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo - 2025

This Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo comes from the Jasci family's vineyards, on the hills of Vasto and Scerni, in the province of Chieti. Between the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella massif, the two-hectare plot, planted in 2010 and trellised, faces south-east at 230 metres. Sea breezes and the nearby mountains temper the summer heat, giving Montepulciano freshness and vibrant fruit.

The grapes, grown organically, are harvested during the first ten days of October. The must first ferments in contact with the skins for twelve hours, to heighten the aromas and give the wine its characteristic cherry colour. This is followed by gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is aged in stainless-steel and concrete tanks, without oak, to preserve all the liveliness of the fruit.

This wine reveals notes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, pomegranate, rose petal, orange peel and bitter almond.
