It is a wine from \u003cstrong\u003eold vines aged 70 to 90 years\u003c\/strong\u003e, planted (between 1920 and 1940) across 3 small vineyards. The \u003cstrong\u003eGrenache\u003c\/strong\u003e grapes ripen on poor, stony land made up of clay, sand, pebbles and slate. The vineyards range in altitude from 450 to 750 metres. The very high-quality grapes were harvested by hand with \u003cstrong\u003every low yields\u003c\/strong\u003e. After a 15-day maceration, the wine spends \u003cstrong\u003e13 months in French oak barrels\u003c\/strong\u003e, both new and second-fill. There is no filtration at bottling, to preserve the pure expression of the Grenache. This deep wine carries complex aromas of black and red fruit, \u003cstrong\u003eblackberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eplum\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003echerry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblue flowers\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblack truffle\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003egarrigue\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblack olive\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003ecocoa\u003c\/strong\u003e, interwoven with mineral and menthol nuances. Ultra-fine tannins, long, linear acidity and a lovely structure.
