The Argione cuvée is a blend of 75% \u003cstrong\u003eCabernet Sauvignon\u003c\/strong\u003e and 25% \u003cstrong\u003eCabernet Franc\u003c\/strong\u003e. It is in fact an \u003cstrong\u003eAmarone\u003c\/strong\u003e della Valpolicella-style wine, but made with other grape varieties from the Vicenza area and on a \u003cstrong\u003eterroir\u003c\/strong\u003e of \u003cstrong\u003evolcanic\u003c\/strong\u003e origin. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. They are\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eplaced in small wooden crates and left to dry for around a month and a half, then pressed and fermented. The wine is then aged \u003cstrong\u003e18 months in old oak\u003c\/strong\u003e barrels and bottled unfiltered. This wine reveals magnificent notes of \u003cstrong\u003eplum\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eprune\u003c\/strong\u003e, concentrated \u003cstrong\u003eblack fruit\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003echerry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eblack pepper\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eleather\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003edried flowers\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eaniseed\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eliquorice\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ecinnamon\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003esweet spices\u003c\/strong\u003e. The tannins are subtle and the mid-palate is flavoursome and velvety.
