At the table with Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2017
Here we recommend pairing this wine with a Brazilian dish such as feijoada (a Brazilian bean and pork stew). Otherwise, try it with aubergines stuffed with meat, beef samosas with paprika or a rib of beef scented with chervil.

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2017AURORA WINERY
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has a beautiful ruby red color that will appeal to lovers of full-bodied Bordeaux wines. We detect quite clearly aromas of vanilla and chocolate , slightly vegetal notes, red fruits and a little jammy black fruit such as blackberry. We feel a nice mineral touch in the background added to notes of coffee and cigar box. Passage in oak barrels for 10 months brings a beautiful roundness. The tannins are soft and make it pleasant to drink. A vintage combining harmony and complexity.

Bento Goncalves
Bento Gonçalves is a Brazilian city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, making it the Brazilian wine capital. Seven states in Brazil produce wine, the most important being Rio Grande do Sul (80% of the total surface area). It is located in the south of the country with Argentina to the west and Uruguay to the south. It is under Atlantic influence in the East and continental influence in the West. The vines, which can reach 700 m altitude, grow on the slopes of the hills.
The little history of the country
Brazil
Brazil's vineyards were born in the south of the country with the arrival of the first settlers fleeing Madeira and the Azores in 1532. It was in 1825, after the country's independence, that the Brazilian wine trade developed. German immigrants were the first to plant vines, followed by the Portuguese, then the French and Italians. Devastated in the 19th century by diseases thriving in the humid Atlantic climate, the European grape varieties were replaced by resistant North American varieties. These still cover 80% of the vineyard area but are falling out of favour.
Over the past ten years or so, a new generation of winegrowers making terroir-driven wines has been bringing a breath of creativity. The country has a less formal approach to wine, less strict regulations and a vast territory to explore, all of which fire the imagination of its winemakers. It is hard to define the style of Brazilian wines because they mirror the country: multicultural. The sheer size of the territory means a great variety of soils and microclimates, which give the wines their diversity and point to huge potential in terms of quality.
