Joh. Jos. Prüm's vines are planted on soils rich in decomposed slate, which stores heat and promotes a slow and steady ripening of the Riesling. The predominantly south to southwest orientation and the proximity of the river create a cool, humid microclimate, conducive to the development of fine aromas and a lively acidity, a hallmark of this terroir's style.

The Riesling grapes are harvested by hand, in several passes, to ensure only perfectly ripe and healthy berries are kept. After gentle pressing, the musts ferment slowly with indigenous yeasts, at low temperatures, in old oak foudres. Fermentation is stopped to preserve a precise balance between residual sugar, acidity, and aromatic expression. Aging continues on fine lees in these same large traditional containers until bottling, to maintain the purity, finesse, and tension characteristic of the estate's style.

This wine reveals notes of citrus, stone fruit, and exotic fruit, complemented by delicate floral touches and a mineral dimension typical of Mosel slate. The palate is characterized by a lean body, supported by a precise acidity that balances the residual sweetness, offering a silky texture and a long, saline, and refreshing finish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0284/0032/0643/files/1dede60047266-joh-jos-prum-bernkasteler-badstube-kabinet.jpg?v=1779545026
