This 5.1-hectare plot, set on a north-facing slope with deep silty soils mixed with alluvial gravels, offers ideal conditions for ripening Pinot Noir. Planted in 2012 after lengthy soil preparation, it is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, to preserve the pure expression of the terroir and the aromatic precision of the fruit. \u003cspan class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"1383\"\u003eThe winemaking reflects the estate's minimalist philosophy, centred on reduced intervention to let the character of the vineyard shine through. The grapes are gently destemmed, then ferment in open vats with around 25% whole bunches, thanks to the native yeasts naturally present. Fermentation and maceration take place slowly to extract colour and structure with finesse. The wine is then aged for around 13 months in French oak barriques, nearly a quarter of them new. In keeping with the estate's artisanal approach, it is neither fined nor filtered before bottling. \u003cspan class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"2004\"\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003eblack cherry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eraspberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ewild blackberry, \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eblack plum\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003efaded rose, \u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003esweet spices\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ecocoa \u003c\/strong\u003eand a mineral touch such as \u003cstrong\u003egraphite\u003c\/strong\u003e. On the palate, the texture is ample and deep, carried by superb acidity that balances the richness of the fruit. The tannins are fine yet structuring, offering a silky texture and lovely tension.
