Located in the historic Hunter Valley wine region, north of Sydney, Tyrrell's cultivates its Semillon vines on predominantly sandy and loamy soils over a clay subsoil. This coastal terroir, influenced by a warm climate tempered by ocean breezes, allows for a slow and even ripening of the grapes. The plots are situated at low altitudes on well-drained slopes, providing ideal conditions for expressing the natural freshness, aromatic purity, and minerality characteristic of this great Australian white wine.

Sourced from Sémillon vines in the Hunter Valley, this wine is made from grapes harvested early in the morning to preserve their aromatic freshness. After gentle pressing, the juice is settled and then fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to retain the pure, citrusy profile of the varietal. Aging continues in tanks on fine lees for a few months, without oak barrels, before early bottling to preserve the tension and vibrancy characteristic of the winery style.

This wine reveals notes of fresh lemon , lime , and grapefruit , complemented by delicate touches of white flowers and a subtle minerality reminiscent of wet stone. With aeration, light nuances of fresh herbs and a hint of honey emerge in the background. The palate is taut and precise, driven by lively acidity, a light yet persistent texture, and a long, clean, and mouthwatering finish that highlights the purity of the fruit.
