Chenin Blanc 2022

The MMAD vineyard is located in the Blewitt Springs area and contains Chenin Blanc, the oldest vines of which were planted in 1939. The vineyard has fine sands and is exposed to fresh southwest sea breezes. Beneath the sand lies a layer of ironstone pebbles, and this combination gives both fragrance and structure to the wines. Harvesting is done by hand, and after a gentle pressing, the wine ferments partly in concrete and large, old oak barrels. This wine reveals notes of kumquat, lemon, citron , stone fruit , melon, wet stone , and sea spray. The palate is chiseled, saline, and precise.
