Twins Barrel Select Shiraz 2021

This Shiraz selection comes from estate plots at Ahrens’ Creek and Barossa Ridge, near Vine Vale, in the heart of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. In this warm, dry Barossa terroir, fruit from biodynamically farmed vineyards gives a generous, deep yet balanced expression of Shiraz.

Made from biodynamically grown estate grapes, this Shiraz is aged for 18 months in oak barrels to develop its aromatic depth and texture. Harvesting and fermentation details are not specified.

This wine reveals notes of blackberry, ripe plum, blueberry, black cherry, violet, black pepper, sweet spices, toasted oak and dark chocolate. The palate is broad and concentrated, carried by velvety fruit, welcome freshness and tannins that are both firm and silky. The long, spicy finish extends the nuances of black fruit and cocoa.
