Made from old vines some 90 years of age, which have drawn essential nutrients from the decomposed sandstone soils of the Skurfberg, it is carefully farmed without herbicides or chemical fertilisers. Winemaking is carried out plot by plot, with fermentation in old barrels. After twelve months' ageing on the lees, the wines are blended and then return to barrel for a further six months before bottling. This wine strikes a perfect balance between body and liveliness, energy and richness of flavour, making it an exquisite choice with fine dishes such as fish or poultry in a cream sauce.
