ten-minutes-by-tractor-10x-pinot-noir-australie
Ten Minutes by Tractor - 10X Pinot Noir - 2022

Located on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne in the state of Victoria, the Ten Minutes by Tractor vineyard benefits from a cool maritime climate, strongly influenced by its proximity to the Southern Ocean. The plots that supply the 10X Pinot Noir cuvée are spread across several hills and valleys, with varying exposures, planted in soils that blend clay, silt, and sand. This mosaic of terroirs, combined with regular ocean breezes, allows for slow ripening of the grapes and preserves remarkable aromatic freshness.

The grapes for this 10X Pinot Noir are harvested at optimal ripeness and then vinified by plot with varying proportions of whole bunches, before fermentation in open vats with controlled temperatures and extractions. The wine is then aged for several months in oak barrels, some of which are new, to preserve the purity of the fruit while adding complexity, structure, and texture, before final blending and bottling at the estate.

This wine reveals notes of black cherry , raspberry , and wild strawberry , complemented by floral touches reminiscent of violet and peony. Spicy nuances of sweet pepper and clove mingle with subtle oak, hints of cedar and vanilla .
