This Grenache land rises between 950 and 1,200 metres above sea level, on schist and slate. Cleared in 1999 when it had gone wild, it offers the purest expression of Gredos slate, with an almost Alpine freshness.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are fermented with native yeasts, then undergo a long maceration to extract the substance gently. The wine is aged for about a year in 600-litre casks that are not new, to respect the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir, with a production of just a few thousand bottles.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis wine reveals notes of \u003cstrong\u003eblack cherry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ewild raspberry\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003egraphite\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003ewarm stone\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003elavender\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003erosemary\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003epepper\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eliquorice\u003c\/strong\u003e. The ruby colour precedes a deep nose, reminiscent of the surrounding flora.
